Terms of Use

The agreement

WovenFable is published by Fifty Oars Interactive LLC, a Colorado limited liability company(“we”, “us”). By using WovenFable you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be 13 or older to use WovenFable. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission. Organizers must not add members under 13.

Your account

You sign in with a link or code we email you, so anyone who can read your email can get into your account. Keep your email account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your WovenFable account.

Your writing

• You keep the copyright to the parts you write. Each writer owns their own parts.
• By adding a part to a story, you give Fifty Oars Interactive LLCpermission to store, display and export it as part of that story, following the story’s visibility setting, and to keep it in the story if you leave.
• You also give the story’s owner and its other writers permission to read, share and export the whole story for personal, non-commercial use. Buying a PDF of a story for your own shelf counts as personal use.
• Any commercial use of a whole story, such as publishing it as a book, needs the agreement of every writer in it.

Featuring public stories

We may feature public stories, or excerpts from them, to show what WovenFable is: on our site, in app store listings, and in our own social posts and promotions. We’ll credit writers by display name. If you’d rather a story you wrote in not be featured, email support@fiftyoarsinteractive.com and we’ll stop featuring it. We don’t sell your writing, license it to others, or use it to train AI.

Private, invite-only and classroom stories are never featured, and neither is a private story shared by link.

Owning a story

The person who starts a story is its owner. The owner controls the story’s settings, such as who can read it. Owning a story doesn’t give anyone the copyright to other people’s parts. If the owner deletes their account, the earliest writer in the chain who still has an account takes over. A story only the owner wrote is deleted. If everyone else who wrote in it has already left, the story stays as it is, and its settings can no longer be changed.

Rules

Don’t use WovenFable to post or send:

• Harassment, hate or threats.
• Sexual content involving minors.
• Anything illegal.
• Writing that copies someone else’s work without permission.
• Spam, or abuse of invites or the feedback form.

If someone breaks the rules

We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these rules. To report something, email support@fiftyoarsinteractive.com.

If you think something on WovenFable copies your work, email support@fiftyoarsinteractive.com with: the work you own, where it appears on WovenFable (a link), your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t allowed and that your notice is accurate.

Paid extras

WovenFable doesn’t sell anything yet. If you make a purchase in the future, such as flair credits or a story export, it will be processed by a payment company that sells it on our behalf, and that company’s terms will apply too. Credits and exports are digital goods. Refunds will follow that company’s refund policy and the law that applies to you.

The legal basics

• WovenFable is provided “as is”, without any warranty.
• Our liability to you is limited as far as the law allows.
• We may change or end features.
• You can stop using WovenFable at any time, and you can delete your account from your profile.
• The laws of Colorado apply to these terms.
• When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we email members before it takes effect.
